| Where in Austin can you go to see not one, not two, but often three cover bands belting out tunes like "Brown-eyed Girl," "Bandito," and "Pride and Joy?" Maggie Mae's, of course. This 6th Street bar has one of the area's longest life spans, dating to the early '80s. In that time, countless frat boys have quaffed countless beers and gotten sick countless times in the bathrooms of this center of Greek social life. Some music fans may look down their noses at cover bands, but we all know it is, after all, kind of fun to get out on the floor and dance to '80s tunes from some big-haired band.
