Fat Tuesday may give away Mardi Gras beads, but with its sand-strewn floor, live pop band, and assortment of frozen daiquiris and margaritas it seems closer to a sorority party at Windy Point than New Orleans. But the huge outdoor area does give customers a chance to spread out, sit down, and talk. And a little relaxation is a welcome thing after fighting through the hordes inside blocking the path to the bathrooms. Fat Tuesday is definitely best in summer, when the hot evening air is wonderfully cooled by one of their alcoholic slushes. In the winter too many people crowd into the heated area inside to be comfortable. |
