Although it's a lengthy walk from the hub of Austin's 6th Street scene, Fado Irish Pub is well worth it. The pub is nestled amongst ritzier bars (as are common on Fourth nowadays) yet it still seems to be the one most worth mentioning out of the group. Reported to have 'the best Guinness on tap in Austin' Fado's also has Boddington's, Harp, Bass Ale, Heineken and Murphy's Irish Amber available on tap. The ratio of college students to professionals is less than at the bars on Sixth which is a plus if you're not in the mood for that scene.
