The outside of this downtown nightclub looks as grungy as the inside, but that is part of its charm for the metalhead fans who gather here. The club serves up hard rock nightly, and there are special fetish nights for those who want to show off their chains, piercings and tattoos.
Housed in the dark, cavernous space that was once home to the infamous Cave Club, the Atomic Cafe has become the new gold standard for the Goth/industrial scene in Austin. Home to the heavy eye shadow and lace-up bodice crowd, the Atomic Cafe offers an ample floor for dancing at their various theme nights and plenty of bar space if you just want to lurk with your friends.
